GFL Developer Kit with Android 7 (Nougat) Powered by NVIDIA Jetson TX2 Cart

GameFace Labs® are taking pre-orders for our VR Development Kits. This includes our upcoming standalone VR headset which is shipping later this year, in conjunction with our Token Generation Event (TGE). The headsets are powered by NVIDIA Jetson TX2 with a customized Android OS. This lightweight, affordable system plays games targeted at Android VR, and also supports PC-driven SteamVR content.

Working with Triad Semiconductor and supporting OpenVR, the headset will be the first cross-platform VR device capable of running the latest and greatest Android VR content, along with the wealth of PC VR content already available on Steam.

Developers can now publish their VR experiences on a multitude of platforms, all through one device, with users able to download and enjoy content from different stores. This ultimately brings down the barrier of entry for both developers and users, while showcasing everything VR has to offer.

GameFace developers looking to create immersive mobile VR applications can take advantage of the extra computing power of the Jetson platform. The GFL developer community will be given a head start to work on high-end VR applications that make use of one of the most powerful mobile architectures on the planet.

Selected Developers who pass the GFL application process will be notified via email with a shipping date over the next few weeks, while we review applications. No one will be charged until they have had their application approved. The selected developers will receive the GFL Developer Kit upon approval, with the first wave of Dev Kits shipped in the following few weeks and will also receive a free GameFace Labs HMC later in the year.
